Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 16, 2026. CasitaScore ("we," "us") operates this website and the ADU opportunity reports. This policy describes how we handle information in plain language. It is not legal advice; have counsel review if you need a formal policy for your business.
What we collect
- Address and location. When you generate a report, we store the address you select and coordinates from our geocoding provider so we can query public datasets (permits, parcels, zoning, etc.).
- Email. We collect the email you provide to send your free preview link and related transactional messages.
- Marketing preference. If you opt in on the form, we record that you agreed to additional emails about CasitaScore and partner opportunities (see checkbox copy on the site).
- Usage and technical data. Like most sites, we may use analytics or logging that sees IP address, device, and pages viewed (per your analytics configuration).
- Payment. If you purchase a full report, our payment processor handles card data; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
How we use information
- To build, save, and display your report and score.
- To email you the preview link and service-related notices.
- If you opted in, to send marketing or partner-related messages you agreed to. You can unsubscribe from those when we provide a link or by contacting us.
- To improve the product, fix bugs, and understand aggregate usage.
- To comply with law or protect rights and safety.
Sharing
CasitaScore reports and scores are generated from data and analytics. No builder, lender, or advertiser influences what your report says. We use vendors (for example hosting, database, email, maps, payments, AI) who process data on our behalf under agreements. We do not sell your personal information as a standalone product. If we introduce introductions or referrals to builders or agents in the future, we will only use contact details consistent with the consent you gave at collection and we will update this policy.
Retention
We keep report records and associated contact information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Exact retention periods may evolve; contact us for deletion requests where applicable law applies.
Your choices
You may have rights under California or other laws to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. Contact us at the address below. We may need to verify your request.
Children
CasitaScore is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy, except where law requires different consent.
